One man injured in snowboarding accident in Banff

CALGARY –  A man is recovering in hospital after a snowboarding accident at the Sunshine Village Ski Resort.

The 27-year-old reportedly fell close to 10 meters.

He was flown by Alpine Helicopters to Mineral Springs Hospital in Banff, where he was then picked up by STARS and transported to Foothills Hospital in Calgary.

A spokesperson for Sunshine Village said Wednesday, that the man was transported as a precaution. His injuries are listed as non life-threatening.
