Highway 99 was flooded following heavy rains Wednesday night.

Highway 99 has flooded south of Lions Bay. Turpin Creek has breached and the road is flooded with an estimated 8 inches of water across the highway.

The highway was closed, but has since reopened with left lanes blocked in both directions.

No evacuation order has been issued, but residents living below the creek have been advised of the situation.

Firefighters and rescue workers are on scene.
