Okanagan women killed in weekend crash identified

LUMBY, B.C. — The BC Coroners Service has released the names of the two women killed in an accident on Highway 6 Saturday night.

Naomi-Ann Hughes, 57, of Vernon, and her daughter, Emma Maria Danielle Froh, 22, of Lumby, died after their car crossed the centreline and hit an oncoming SUV. Both women died on scene.

The occupants of the SUV, a man and woman from Vernon, were taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Police say road conditions were icy at the time of the crash.
