UPDATE WEDS: According to DriveBC, Highway 3 is now open but lane closures and a 60 km per hour speed zone is in effect.

Original story:

KEREMEOS — Another rockslide has come down on Highway 3 west of Keremeos – closing the highway.

Today’s slide happened 9 kilometres west of Keremeos –in the same area where a rock slide came down last January when boulders struck three vehicles – sending one person to hospital. It also knocked out power lines.

The January slide was 150 metres wide and prompted the Ministry of Highways to build a large concrete wall to help prevent rocks from rolling onto the highway.
