WINNIPEG – If you are looking for something to do this Sunday, why not head outside?
Above normal temperatures have settled over Winnipeg this weekend with the thermometer hovering around 0 C Sunday.
The Forks has been busy with winter activities all afternoon. The skating trail and rinks on the land were quite popular.
Environment Canada is expecting about 2 to 4 centimetres of snow to fall overnight and the temperature in Winnipeg will cool down to around -11 C, still 7 degrees warmer than the normal low for this time of year.
Winter-like temperatures will return for Monday and Tuesday before a big warm-up late in the week.
At this point the forecast high on Thursday is 7 C and even warmer on Friday at 8 C under sunny skies.
The normal high for early December is -9 C.
