Honduras set a new Guinness World Record for the largest human Christmas tree on Monday.
Nearly three-thousand people gathered outside the national palace and made the shape of a giant Christmas tree, including people in yellow shirts to form a star and red shirts for the tree‘s ornaments.
“Honduran people, 1 December of 2014, here in Tegucigalpa, with a total of 2,945 people, you have broken the world record for having the largest human Christmas tree in the world,” Carlos Martinez, a Guinness Record representative, told the gathered crowd.
