Police are investigating the sudden deaths of an 18-year-old girl and a 42-year-old man in a Saskatoon residence.

Saskatoon police were called to the 1000-block of Avenue M South at approximately 10:00 p.m. Friday night after family members had attended the house to check on the welfare of the residents.

The victims were found deceased inside the residence. A dog and cat were also found dead in the house.

Power to the home had recently been cut off and residents were using a gas-powered generator as a source of electricity.

Autopsies have been scheduled for Monday.

The incident occurred in the King George neighbourhood.
