WATCH ABOVE: Gil Tucker reports on a talented local rescue dog that has become an international sensation. Story first aired in November, 2013.
A Calgary pooch named Lexi had a rough start in life, but now her talents are getting international attention, including an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman.
Lexi and her owner were in New York on Tuesday to tape a Stupid Pet Tricks segment that features one of Lexi’s parkour tricks, climbing a ladder.
Lexi has been climbing to stardom ever since her owner, Chris Jansen, posted a Youtube video of Lexi performing her stunts, which include jumping on top of a basketball hoop and leaping between concrete posts.
The video received more than 300,000 hits and caught the attention of Letterman’s staff- not bad for a dog who at less than 10 months old, ended up at the Calgary Humane Society.

Jansen adopted her in 2009 and has been training her ever since.
The segment featuring Lexi will air on Letterman Tuesday night.
