MONTREAL – You may know 14-year-old Daniel Clarke Bouchard as one of Montreal’s most inspiring musical prodigies, but did you know these five fun facts about the talented piano player?
1. His favourite movie of all time is Rush Hour 3
After an attempted assassination on Ambassador Han, Lee (Jackie Chan) and Carter (Chris Tucker) head to Paris to protect a French woman with knowledge of the Triads’ secret leaders.
2. If he wasn’t such a successful piano player, Daniel says he would be a talk show host or an actor
“I’d be in a musical, or something with music since I’m a musician,” he said.
“Or I’d be in a comedy-action movie. Like a mini-Chris Tucker.”
3. When relaxing, Daniel can be found playing hockey with his friends or watching his favourite hockey team – the Habs!
“I love the Habs,” he told Global News. “We’re in Montreal!”
4. He makes a killer lasagna
“I made the best lasagna once and my Mum went up and down the neighbourhood telling everyone,” he said laughing.
5. Daniel’s biggest accomplishment was playing with Earth, Wind and Fire, one of the most successful and critically acclaimed bands of the twentieth century.
“It was so much fun,” he told Global News. “The best experience ever.”
Daniel Clarke Bouchard will be playing four shows with I Musici in November.
He’ll play his first ever international concert in France in January – on his birthday!
