Ornge goes anywhere and everywhere, by road and air, to pick up and transport sick and injured patients from one hospital to another to get the medical attention they need to survive. But one team, the paediatric team, has the toughest job of all, rushing sick and injured children to hospitals where specialists fight to keep the children alive.
For one month 16×9 followed along as the Ornge paediatric team worked tirelessly and with precision to look after the tiniest lives. Since starting the Ted Rogers Paediatric Transport Program last April Ornge has responded to over 150 calls. Most of those calls were to help children under the age of five. Watch 16×9 this Saturday for the behind the scenes story of the emergency medical team with precious cargo.
