Monday is the last day for owners of the Penhorwood condo buildings in Fort McMurray to vote on the fate of the condemned buildings.
On March 11th, the seven building complex was evacuated because of structural problems.
The condo board has launched a $60-million dollar lawsuit- which could take 2 years, and re-building the condo could take another 2 years.
Condo owners were able to take part in a vote on the fate of the buildings.
Owners have been given 4 options. They are- sell the property as-is — repair the existing building With money from the lawsuit — use lawsuit money to completely rebuild– or take out a loan now to begin construction, and use the lawsuit proceeds to pay off the loan.
The results of the vote are expected on Tuesday.
