60 Million Girls

The 60 Million Girls foundation is the brainchild of Montrealer Wanda Bedard. The organization aims to educate young women around the world and now its work is being commemorated in a new exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The photo exhibit on girls’ education runs to November 23.

Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is this Tuesday but many communities aren’t waiting until November 11 for their ceremonies.

Heroes Park in Beaconsfield is holding its first ever Remembrance Day ceremony this Sunday.

The park was officially opened last month as a tribute to all heroes in the community, from war veterans, to police officers, and first responders. Major Richard Gratton, the founder of Heroes Park, explains why it’s so important that we never forget.
