VANCOUVER – A woman is recovering this morning after her car was literally ripped in half in a crash.
Around midnight on Monday the driver lost control and hit a pole on South West Marine Drive, near Columbia in Vancouver.

Her car was completely destroyed but the driver suffered only non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the heavy rain played a role in the crash.
