SAINT-LEONARD, N.B. – A New Brunswick man is dead after apparently being attacked by a male deer.
The RCMP said officers went to a residence in Saint-Leonard shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday and found a 55-year-old man lying in a field.

The Mounties said the man had gone into a fenced field near his home to tend to a herd of deer.
When he didn’t return home or answer calls to his cell phone, his wife got worried and called police.
The man had severe injuries and was pronounced dead at hospital.
