MONTREAL – An elderly man is in hospital after being hit by a bus just outside of Vendome metro Friday afternoon, according to Montreal police.
The accident happened around 3:15 p.m. at the west-end metro exit.
“The bus was turning at the intersection when it hit one of the pedestrians,” said Simon Delorme, Montreal police spokesperson.

The man has been taken to hospital in critical condition.
A female pedestrian who was walking alongside the man was treated for shock.
Investigators are on the scene to figure out what happened.
