TORONTO – The parents of a four-year-old boy found dead in North York were charged with murder Thursday.
The boy, Jaelin Sollow Roberto-Colley, 4, was found in his parents’ North York home near Leslie Street and Finch Avenue on Monday morning shortly after 2:30 a.m.
Paramedics tried to revive him but he was pronounced dead on scene.
His parents, Joel Roberto, 27, and Ravyn Colley, 24, were taken into custody Monday but formally charged in a Toronto courtroom Thursday afternoon.
Cecilia Frank, a neighbour of the family, said she was awoken by sirens and flashing lights Monday outside of her bedroom window and saw the two parents taken out of the house, and another child wrapped in the blanket being led out of the house.
