TORONTO – A passenger on a U.S Airways flight caused panic Wednesday after allegedly saying “I have Ebola, you are all screwed.”
The incident happened on a flight en route to Dominican Republic from Philadelphia.
According to NBC, when the flight landed in Punta Cana, passengers were told to stay in their seats as emergency personnel boarded the plane wearing hazmat suits.
“I want everyone to sit, I need your attention,” a flight attendant said in the video. “It’s going to look worse than it is.”
The video shows the hazmat team escorting an unidentified male off the plane.
According to local media, the 54-year-old man’s passport shows no indication of travel to any African country where Ebola has been reported.
There’s no word if charges will be laid.
