A high-speed car chase between two thieves and police in Duluth, Georgia had an officer dodging chainsaws being thrown from a stolen vehicle.
Video of the incredible pursuit was captured on a police dashboard camera.
The two suspects stole 19 chainsaws and lawn trimmers from a local hardware store, before fleeing in a stolen SUV, according to WSB-TV.
In the video, the SUV can be seen weaving through dark streets in Duluth, with a police cruiser hot on its trail, before one of the thieves begins tossing power tools through the open rear door.
The quick-thinking officer manages to swerve to avoid the chainsaws flying down the middle road. A second patrol car wasn’t as lucky as it runs over one of the chainsaws.
After a five minute chase the SUV slams to a halt and the suspects managed to run off.
Police are working to enhance the footage to identify the two robbers.
