A baby elephant got a ‘helping trunk’ from two grown adults after falling onto its back at a zoo in Zurich, Switzerland.
The heart-warming video from Aug. 1 shows Omysha, the zoo’s then six-week-old female elephant, take a tumble in her enclosure after losing her footing.
After falling, two concerned adults rush to her rescue and use their trunks to lift Omysha back on her feet as an anxious crowd looks on.
The Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park at Zoo Zurich hosts seven adult Asian elephants and Omysha, who was born June 17 to parents Maxi and Hindi.
According to the World Wildlife Federation the Asian elephant is considered an endangered species with only 20,000 – 25,000 remaining.
