MONTREAL – A marijuana grow-op was discovered after firefighters put out a blaze on Saint-Denis street Saturday afternoon.

About 100 firefighters were called to the scene of the Saint Ciboire Pub, in the building’s basement.

The establishment, located at 1693 Saint-Denis street, also houses another restaurant and an art gallery.

After the blaze was extinguished, firefighters performed a routine inspection of the surrounding area to make sure there was no additional damage.

They found about 100 marijuana plants in one third-floor apartment located next door to the pub.

There were no reported injuries.

Montreal police are investigating.
