EDMONTON – After months of investigating police have charged a man in a break and enter and shooting in north Edmonton.
Steven Christopher Paul, 26, is facing several charges including discharging a firearm with intent reckless to life, assault with a weapon, and robbery with a firearm.
On June 2, several men allegedly forced their way into a home at 113A St. and 136 Ave. and searched the residence.
During the incident a 48-year-old man was shot and suffered a life-threatening injury, and a woman was injured while escaping the home.

The two victims were taken to hospital.
Police say the couple was not the intended targets, nor were they involved in criminal activity.
On Sept. 10, police searched three Edmonton residence they believe are connected to Paul, and recovered firearms, ammunition, crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills and cash.
Paul has been taken into custody and is expected to appear in court on Oct. 3.
Police are still searching for two other men they believe were involved in the incident.
