REGINA – The C-E-O of the Regina Hotel Association says developers are showing their confidence in the city’s ability to keep attracting major events.
Tracy Fahlman says in the last 10 years the city has added roughly one thousand more hotel rooms, and in the next two years another 800 rooms will be built.
Regina hosted the 101st Grey Cup and the Juno Awards in 2013 and in July it hosted the North American Indigenous Games.
Fahlman says the increasing supply of hotel rooms strengthens Regina’s ability to go after large events.
