Sgt. Marco Papillon says the woman was one of six people in a truck that was hit head-on by a van Sept. 4 on Route 11 near Saint-Louis-de-Kent.

The Mounties say the van crossed the centre line while trying to avoid a moose on the road but struck the animal and the truck.

A man and woman who were in the van were also killed.

A third vehicle carrying two adults drove off the road to avoid the crash.
