TORONTO – A group will be holding a news conference in Toronto this morning to call for a coroner’s office and Ontario Provincial Police investigation into human bodies displayed in a Niagara Falls exhibit.
The group called Choose Humanity argues the public display put on by US-based Premier Exhibitions may possibly use corpses from executed Chinese prisoners.

A disclaimer on Premier’s website confirms the remains are from Chinese citizens or residents “originally received” by Chinese police, and adds the firm “cannot independently verify” they weren’t prisoners.
The province’s chief coroner has said that he has no authority under provincial law to pursue the matter because the deaths occurred outside the province.
