FREDERICTON – Police in Fredericton say a 52-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle while trying to walk across a city intersection.
Police say the man was struck Wednesday afternoon and he died about five hours later in hospital.

So far no charges have been laid and the victim has not been identified.
Police are looking to speak with another person who was believed to be with the victim at the time, but left after the accident.
