Milton woman dies after lawnmower she was riding on flips into creek

MILTON, Ont. – A 57-year-old woman is dead following a riding lawnmower accident in Milton, Ont., on Tuesday evening.

Halton Region police say the Burlington woman was operating the machine in a remote section of the family farm.

Just after 7 p.m., family members went looking for her and found that the mower had flipped into a small creek, trapping the woman underneath.

A male family member lifted the mower and began resuscitation efforts, but emergency workers called to the scene pronounced her dead at the scene.

Foul play is not suspected.

Police say the woman`s name will not be released.
