Sgt. Sorab Rupa says officers minimized the risk to the public and arrested the man without disrupting other riders.
RCMP issued a Canada-wide warrant for Rogerson’s arrest after a woman was abducted in a northwestern Alberta town.
Mounties say a man with a gun took a woman from a business in Fox Creek, Alberta, on Monday, but she managed to escape.
Officers say the pair knew each other through business dealings.
Rogerson, who is 49 and from British Columbia, faces numerous charges that include kidnapping with a firearm and unlawful confinement.
Fox Creek is about 263 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
