VANCOUVER – Fraser Health has issued a water quality advisory for the Port Moody Arm of Burrard Inlet due to a “below average water quality.”

This affects the area around Rocky Point Park and the inlet.

Fraser Health says  E. Coli. levels in Port Moody Arm can increase during periods of warm weather and accidental ingestion or immersion in these waters may result in illness.

Recreational paddlers, boaters, or those coming into contact with the waters of Port Moody Arm are cautioned to use discretion.

Signs will be posted in the park area and concerned residents can also call Fraser Health at 1.877.935.5669.
