The worker was loading solid steel rods onto outside racking when the rack fell onto him, pinning him and impaling his hip.

The man was taken to the University of Alberta hospital by EMS. However, he succumbed to his injuries at 3 a.m. Saturday.

OHS issued a stop use order for the outside racks, and continues to investigate.
