Flash mob hits downtown Montreal

MONTREAL – If you were on the corners of Ste-Catherine St. and Guy today at around 1 p.m. this afternoon, you may have inadvertently stepped into the middle of a flash mob.

The flash mob was part of the festivities for the 17th edition of the Ste-Catherine Street festival, touted as Canada’s largest street sale.

At least 300,000 people are expected to attend this year’s  street fair that runs from July 12- 13.

Dancers from the famed Montreal dance troupe BluePrint took part in the flash mob and then treated passersby to a free show and autographs.

Members were in town promoting the movie Step up: All in in which they appear.
