LUMBY – A murder charge has been laid in the death of a woman in the north Okanagan.
Last Thursday evening, police were called to a home on Trinity Valley Road near Lumby where they found the body of 51-year-old Linda Marie Stewart, also known as Linda Ross.
Police say Howard Everett was also on the property suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Everett has been charged with second degree murder and remains in hospital in Kelowna under police guard.
RCMP say Stewart, who was a school teacher in Vernon, had been in a relationship with Everett for a brief time.
