Honda Recall – August 5
Honda is recalling 135,142 vehicles in Canada to update the software that controls the automatic transmission.br />
Vehicles affected by the recall are certain 4-cylinder Accord cars for model years 2005 to 2010, the CR-V for model years 2007 to 2010 and the Element for model years 2005 to 2008.
Honda says customers will begin receiving notification of the recall on August 31 and should then take their vehicles to an authorized dealer.

Burger recall – July 15
Sol Cuisine Inc. announced a voluntary recall of its Canadian Sol Cuisine Spicy Bean Burger sold in a 364-gram frozen package with the product code number 6 28025 01929 8 and lot code number 06711.
The voluntary recall was initiated as a precautionary measure after consultation with the CFIA, as the product may be contaminated with Salmonella.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
55 cases of the product was sold through three distributors: Ontario Natural Food Co-op (ONFC) and AMJ Health Food Distributors in Ontario and Horizon Distributors in British Columbia. Sol Cuisine requests that any store that has purchased product bearing lot code number 06711 remove the product from its shelves and contact Sol Cuisine.
