Residents of the Mount Vernon neighbourhood in Baltimore, Maryland were treated to an odd sight Friday morning: a bull, charging down the middle of a busy street.
According to Baltimore Police, the animal escaped from a slaughterhouse in West Baltimore earlier that morning.
Spectators captured the bizarre scene on their cellphone cameras as the bull charged down the middle of a major road.

“I wasn’t too certain on how the cow ended up in an unusual place, but it was certainly strange and interesting,” said Tyra Myricks, who witnessed the bull’s journey.
“What made it even more strange is that the cow wasn’t even bothered by how busy the streets were or all the cars, which I’m sure was something very foreign to a farm animal, such as a cow. I would love to know more on how the cow got out of its environment.”
Police say the animal was shot shortly after 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Charles and Biddle streets.
“I’m glad nobody was hurt. Police did what they had to do,” the owner of the slaughterhouse told WJZ News in Baltimore.
