KELOWNA, B.C. – A person was taken to hospital after being struck by a truck at Gordon Drive and Harvey Avenue (Highway 97) in Kelowna Tuesday morning.
RCMP have yet to release details about the accident, but witnesses say a woman sustained injuries.

The truck driver remained at the scene and assisted officers with their investigation. He appeared upset and concerned about the incident as he stayed close to his vehicle surrounded by police, fire and ambulance crews.
Traffic was temporarily blocked off in the northbound lanes on Harvey Avenue as crews cleared the scene.
