Vancouver Police will soon be getting drivers’ attention in a new way with a siren they can feel.
It’s called a rumble siren and it will soon be in every police cruiser in Vancouver.

It’s a low frequency rumble — so driver’s just won’t hear the sirens — they’ll actually feel the vibration.
Vancouver Police hope the siren will alert drivers faster, especially in intersections where the risk for collisions is the highest.
The siren can also be heard more clearly on busy streets or in downtown corridors.
