WATCH: Woman steals cancer donation box in Richmond Hill

TORONTO – York Regional Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman caught on security video stealing a cancer donation box from a restaurant in Richmond Hill.

The incident happened just before 4 p.m. on March 25 at 9625 Yonge Street near Weldrick Road East.

Police say the suspect approached the counter, placed an order for food in which she paid for, and then grabbed the charity donation box while the employee had their back turned.

Employees at the restaurant say the containrer was full of cash at the time of the theft.

The female suspect is described as white, 45 to 55 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build, black and blonde hair, wearing glasses and a white long-sleeved leopard print shirt.
