UPDATE: Two men found guilty of murder in shooting death of northern Saskatchewan teen
PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – Two men have been charged in the murder of a teen last month in Prince Albert, Sask.
Police in the northern Saskatchewan city were called to a home in the 500-block of 27th Street East on April 14 where Clayton Bear, 17, was found with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to Victoria Hospital where he later died from his wound.
On Tuesday, police arrested Prince Albert resident Jordan Christopher Herron, 20, and charged him with first-degree murder in Bear’s death. He has also been charged with break and enter.
Herron appeared in Prince Albert court on Wednesday morning.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 25-year-old Alberta man, who is wanted for first-degree murder along with break and enter.
He is currently in custody in Alberta on an unrelated matter and arrangements are being made to have him transported to Prince Albert to face his charges.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and will release more details at a later date.
At the time of the shooting, police said they did not believe it was a random act.
