RCMP identify pilot killed in ultralight plane crash near Stanley airport

STANLEY, N.S. – RCMP have identified a woman killed after the ultralight plane she was piloting crashed in Nova Scotia’s Hants County.

Police say 50-year-old Maryanne Hardman died at the scene Sunday.

Officers were called to the crash site near the Stanley Airport, about 25 kilometres northeast of Windsor, N.S.

Hardman was the only occupant of the plane.

The Mounties are investigating what led to the crash.
