TORONTO – Oscar-winning Canadian actor Christopher Plummer will star in the film Remember helmed by homegrown director Atom Egoyan.
Serendipity Point Films says Ari Lantos and Robert Lantos will produce the film, which is due to start principal photography July 14 in Toronto.
Plummer, 84, was born in Toronto.

The screenplay by Benjamin August is billed as “taut” and “twisting.”

The story is described as “a unique and compelling thriller in which the darkest chapter of modern history collides with a contemporary mission of revenge.”

This is the eighth collaboration between Robert Lantos and Oscar-nominated Egoyan after films including Where The Truth Lies, Ararat and The Sweet Hereafter.
The cast also includes Oscar winner Martin Landau, Dean Norris, Bruno Ganz, Heinz Lieven and Gunter Lamprecht.
In a statement, Plummer says the story “promises to be at once shocking, arresting and powerful beyond measure.”
