More than 45,000 runners take part in 30th annual Vancouver Sun Run

45,183 runners took part in the the 30th annual Vancouver Sun Run this morning.

Race director Tim Hopkins says they had their one millionth runner register for the event this year.

Paul Kimugul from Kenya won the Men’s Overall Division with a time of 28:59. Kimugul was last year’s winner as well. Vancouver’s Dylan Wykes finished second with a time of 29:11.

Vancouverite Rachel Cliff won in the women’s division with a time of 33:14.

Kitsilano area:

· W 2nd Avenue (Burrard to Fir): 8:30 a.m. – 12 noon
· Fir Street (W 2nd Ave to W 4th Ave): 8:30 a.m. – 12 noon
· W 4th Avenue/W 6th Avenue (Pine St to Cambie St):
8:30 a.m. – 12 noon

Cambie at Broadway:

Pacific Boulevard:
