Descendants — which currently has the working title Off The Island — is scheduled to shoot in Vancouver from May 29 to July 9 with director-choreographer Kenny Ortega (High School Musical, This Is It).
The live-action Disney Channel movie will be produced at North Shore Studios.
The project will star Dova Cameron (Liv and Maddie) as Mal and Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga) as Jay as well as Sofia Carson and Mitchell Hope.

Descendants is set in a present-day kingdom where the son of Beauty And The Beast‘s royal couple is set to take the throne. He offers redemption to the imprisoned offspring of villains from 101 Dalmatians, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Aladdin.
Enrolled in prep school with the offspring of Disney heroes like the Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Mulan, the trouble-making teens must decide if they want to follow in their villainous parents’ footsteps.
The movie is scheduled to air next year.
