A 45-year-old man was shot dead on the sidewalk Thursday night in east end Montreal.
It happened shortly after 10 p.m. at Joseph-Nolin Street in the Tetreaultville district.
Montreal police say the victim did not have a criminal record and did not live in the area.
Officials do not yet have a suspect – however they believe the shooting was planned.
A motive has yet to be determined.
Two blocks away from the scene of the crime, a stolen car was set on fire.
Police have not identified a link between the two events but believe they are related.
Officials are asking for the public’s help.
