TORONTO – Toronto Hydro confirms all power has been restored to customers in the city’s west end who were affected by outages Tuesday night.
The utility had said the problem was with Hydro One equipment and that the cause was under investigation.
Early estimates were that 12,000 customers were affected in areas that included High Park, Parkdale, Roncesvalles, the Junction and the Annex.
People began tweeting about the outage using the hashtag #darkTO as soon as power started to go out around 9 p.m.
