Police investigate ‘suspicious’ death on Cypress Mountain

West Vancouver police are investigating a suspcious death after a man’s body was discovered on Cypress Mountain.

Police were called to the scene after volunteers working on trail maintenance found the man’s remains Tuesday afternoon.

A cause of death has not been determined, but West Vancouver police said that the circumstances around the case are being "treated as suspicious."

Roads near the top of Cypress Mountain were closed Tuesday night as WVPD Forensic Identification officers investigate alongside VPD Homicide investigators.
