Edmonton police search for missing man

EDMONTON – The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 50-year-old man.

Officers say Michael Simpson left a residence, located in the area of 122 Ave. and 48 St., around 1 p.m. Saturday and has not been seen since.

Police say Simpson has medical conditions and requires medication. They are concerned for his health and well-being.

The 50-year-old often uses the Edmonton Transit System and is familiar with many bus routes. He also often visits the food courts at West Edmonton Mall and Southgate Centre, police say.

Simpson is described as Caucasian, 6’4″ tall and weighs about 300 pounds. He has grey hair and is balding. He also has a red coloured beard.

Simpson was last seen wearing a black winter jacket with a hood, blue jeans, brown boots, and a baseball hat.
