Two students arrested after knife was brought to Fredericton school

FREDERICTON – The city of Fredericton’s police force responded to an incident at Fredericton High School, involving a student with a weapon.

Fredericton Police told Global News that the student brandished a knife at an officer stationed inside the school. He was arrested after a short pursuit and no one was injured.

A second student was arrested Friday afternoon as a result of the ongoing investigation. It was not clear if there was a second weapon involved.

There were no injuries and the school has continued as normal. The investigation is continuing.
