A group of armed men robbed a South Vancouver jewelry store on Thursday afternoon using a truck to smash into the glass storefront.
The brazen daytime heist happened at 2:45 p.m. at Bharti Art Jewellers on Main Street and East 50th Avenue.
Pharmacist Jack Shah, who was working at the pharmacy next door when the truck rammed into the store, says he saw the robbers make off with a bag of valuables.
Shah says the group of masked men abandoned the truck nearby in all alley and fled in another vehicle.
“I just heard a bang sound like something has fallen or like an accident sound. I quickly came out and I just saw the truck was rammed here at this jewelry store. I just quickly ran inside the pharmacy and closed the door” says Shah.
Police say no arrests have been made and no injuries have been reported.
