Saskatoon police are advising the public about fraud activity on the city’s west side.
A female impersonating a charity volunteer was canvasing door-to-door in west side neighbourhoods between June 27th and July 4th. The suspect was wearing a t-shirt with the charity’s name.
Police are reminding the public that legitimate charity canvassers will have official identification and professional forms and say anyone should contact a charity directly if there are doubts as to the authenticity of a canvasser.
Officers say this type of activity is common throughout the year.
