A search for an 86-year-old woman who went missing while driving from Cranbrook to Kelowna has ended in tragedy.
Barbara Webb had been planning to drive north to Golden last Friday and then along the Trans-Canada to Highway 97 to Kelowna.
But the Calgary woman never arrived at her destination.
Monday afternoon, Webb’s vehicle was found down a roadside embankment in Glacier National Park.
Webb did not survive the crash.
The cause of the accident is unknown, and is still being investigated by Revelstoke RCMP Traffic Services.
