Death of man found in Edmonton garage non-criminal: police

EDMONTON – Police have finished their investigation into the death of a 25-year-old man whose body was found in a garage on March 23, and have deemed the death non-criminal in nature.

Officers found the man’s body inside a detached garage in the area of 132 Avenue and 94 Street late Sunday morning.

Initially, investigators didn’t know how the man died so they treated the death as suspicious.

The Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy on Monday afternoon, and the cause of death was determined.

The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section assisted with the investigation, and on Wednesday, detectives deemed the death non-criminal.

The name of the deceased is not being released.
